Andrea Domenica Zanenga

Born and raised in Crema, Italy, Andrea D. Zanenga has always had a profound connection to his homeland's landscapes and traditions. Originally trained in chemistry, he discovered a passion for photography during his studies, ultimately turning it into his profession. His formal training took place at the WSP School of Rome, where he was awarded a scholarship for the prestigious Masterclass in Reportage under the guidance of renowned photographers Fausto Podavini, Giovanni Cocco, and Photo Editor Rosy Santella. Andrea's dedication to his craft have earned him a place among the 100 photographers selected for the XXXVII edition of the Eddie Adams Workshop in Jeffersonville NY.
Specializing in photographing remote and isolated areas, he seeks out locations where the interaction between humanity and nature is both profound and palpable. These environments serve as a canvas for exploring themes of roots, distance, and nostalgia, which are central to his personal projects. Through his lens, he captures the essence of these places, creating images that resonate with a deep sense of place and history, inviting viewers to reflect on their own connections to the world around them and their roots.
