Giulia Ronchetti Italian, b. 1988

Giulia Ronchetti’s work is inevitably influenced by the themes that have always fascinated her, such as the old herbaria, the dream world, the alchemical symbolism and the Egyptian horror vacui. The old fairy tales, myths and the archetypes, are carriers of a cyclical infinite time, teaching us what it was and what can still repeat in the contemporary world. Everything is a symbol; and all, quietly and hiding behind a decorative aspect, tells its own story.

Giulia uses mixed tools: liquid-ink pen-nibs, wide-pointed felt-tip pens, acrylic, pastels, watercolors mainly used on canvas, but also on watercolor paper, fabric and wood planks.
