Photographer and visual artist Sven Pfrommer is an observer and traveller. His artworks are often based on photographs taken on his journeys which he is then treating with different paint and mixed media techniques. Sven was born 1965 into a family of artists in former West Berlin, Germany. He has studied visual communication in Germany and earned the distinction to be a British Council Berlin Airlift Price scholar for visual arts. While starting his career as a commercial art director and photographer, he has also focused the past 18 years on his artistic career. He established his own gallery for contemporary art in the art capital Berlin a decade ago. Since a few years he is also lecturing photography, art and design in Asia. His works has been shown in various galleries and art fairs worldwide and the German Walter Thiemann price has been awarded to him. He has done commission work for the car and fashion industry, several hospitality and architecture projects. His work has been recently selected for the SAMSUNG „THE FRAME“ Project.
