The CAMP Gallery and Fashion Fights Cancer collaborate for National Cancer Prevention Month exhibition

Not Dior's New Look highlights the intersections of fine art and fashion, with a sentimental undertone

The Contemporary Art Modern Project is excited to announce a partnership with Fashion Fights Cancer, a non-profit organization founded in 2004 that offers innovative and therapeutic programs in fashion and designs.

Founded in 2004, Fashion Fights Cancer is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers innovative and therapeutic programs in fashion and design. Their mission is to nurture the minds, bodies, and souls of cancer patients and survivors through fashion and design oriented activities while supporting all communitites that deal with mental health.

FFC was founded to act as a sanctuary for cancer patients, surviviors, and their loved ones. In collaboration with local communities, impactful brands, hospitals, therpists, and international fashion houses, FFC seeks to empower those who have been affected by the devastating illness of cancer in any way, shape or form throughout the United States and internationally.

The collaboration's in part homage to CAMP founder Melanie Prapopoulos' father, who passed from complications with illness in 2018. Prapopoulos found it in the name of her gallery, which publically stands for The Contemporary Art Modern Project, but privately means: The Constantine and Melanie Prapopoulos Gallery. In 2021, she committed to donating a percentage of the gallery's sales commissions to Fashion Fights Cancer.

To celebrate the partnership, The Contemporary Art Modern Project will exhibit works from Anya Anti, Elly Azizian, Franck de las Mercedes, Isher Dhiman, Alice de Kruijs, Vicky Martin, Fares Micue, Miss Aniela, Nikolina PetolasEvelyn Politzer, Christy Powers, Sonya Revell, Julie de Waroquier, Naomi White, and Hans Withoos in the third installment of Not Dior’s New Look, during National Cancer Prevention Month in their Westport, CT locale.

Opening February 22, 2022, Not Dior's New Look III  will be on display until March 22, 2022, at The CAMP Gallery's Westport location. The opening reception will be held on February 22, 2022 from 5-9 pm.
