Louise Cadoux started out as a painter but became a 3D artist guided by her curiosity of what is inside. What hides behind a surface? What goes on in our minds? How does a living being work? Her pieces express a state of mind, an emotion, or a thought. Her work is mainly in wire, but also in clay, concrete, wood, textile, and paper. She start with a drawing on paper. She then makes a wire drawing or a vessel form. Layers and interiors are added in many media as the story unfolds. Cadoux's aim is lightness, movement, and texture. Shadows play a major part in the finished piece. What goes on inside is endlessly fascinating and bizarre to her.
