Lysistrata is about women banding together for a common cause. I think the WNBA illustrates that in spades! These women play a team sport that is all about assisting each other, and not about individual glory . They stand behind many social justice causes often at great peril to themselves. The WNBA used to play in near empty arenas, but are now selling out their games thanks to taking a courageous stand for social justice and themselves. While making a livable wage they are still not paid as well as their male counterparts, but what's new?
