"The Squad" in Congress is composed of nine of its most left wing members. The original members of the squad, elected in 2018, are Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, and Ayanna Pressly of Massachusetts. The Squad actively advocates for underrepresented populations in the US, as well as for climate action, bothe policies in jeopardy right now. In my piece I have elevated their images to be admired equally as those on the national monument, Mount Rushmore.
