It is hard to not feel despondent about the current state of affairs, both in the United States and around the world. However, resignation to the current political climate as being “fucked” without trying to be engaged and discuss with people of all backgrounds and political opinions is to accept and encourage our political climate to continue as it is. However, it is important to also know that there have been plenty of other instances of extreme unrest in the United States, and will likely continue to be such unrest at other points in time throughout the trajectory of domestic politics and culture.
