The series tells the story of bored drag housewife, Queef Latina, as she sheds the trappings of her mundane life and sets out to make her dreams of stardom come true. Photographer Sonya’s bold use of saturated, summertime hues spotlights her subject’s freewheeling fantasy in this playfully subversive series, photographed over 2019 and 2020 at the iconic Vagabond Hotel and Biscayne 21 building in Miami, Florida.
